After 19 years in the Majors, Tim Wakefield has decided to retire. The Red Sox were unsure about what to do with him coming into Spring Training so perhaps it is best that Wakefield made the decision for them. Sad to see a legendary career come to an end, but the timing feels right here. It was a great run, Wicked Knucklah. Red Sox Nation will love you forever!
Can’t wait to see Rex Ryan’s press conference after this one (analysis coming tomorrow). The Jets were knocked out of playoff contention after a horrendous 19-17 loss to Miami in which Mark Sanchez threw 3 interceptions. What a great day for football: Pats win, clinch the top spot, and the Jets go home to cry and wait for next summer when Rex Ryan comes out and makes another empty promise that they’ll win the Superbowl.
